Cannupa Hanska at The Center For Civil and Human Rights

In Spring of 2016

The Center for Civil and Human Rights asked Living Walls once again to help them curate their rotating mural exhibition. We are honored to have had the chance to work with the center's curatorial team again and to be able to bring artist Cannupa Hanska to Atlanta for this exhibit. The center's new exhibit created by Cannupa Hanska, born on Standing Rock Reservation, is a vital narrative to the conversation on human rights and indigenous communities' access to clean water (a basic of human right). Inspired by indigenous activists who are now fighting for these basic rights, Cannupa Hanska's mural located on the 1st floor at the Center for Civil and Human Rights is a testament to the power, resilience, and connectivity of our indigenous communities.
