Meredith Anne White is a Nonbinary Painter, Illustrator, and Writer. Their work is rooted in slowness, a genuine curiosity for the land and animals, and self-love that expands the ability for communal love.
The exterior walls of this tunnel are representative of the city — bodies in motion, buildings, homes, the sky, and the exchanges that create the whole. The walls play with the contrast of day (yellow), while the interior walls have similar shapes with mirrored palettes to invoke night (brown).
The interior walls represents the heart of the city which is the forest — the land, the mountains, the river, the trees. This is for weelaunee, the river that sustains us, the mountains that hold us, and the people and ancestors that have lived here long before us.
