SIGNS OF SOLIDARITY ATLANTA
An ongoing public art project in protest of hate and divisiveness.
Signs of Solidarity ATL is an impassioned collaborative effort of over 30 Atlanta arts organizations, artists, writers, poets, creatives and local building and business owners across the city of Atlanta.
On January 19th, buildings across the cities of Atlanta and Philadelphia, PA dropped artist-made Signs of Solidarity - large banners displaying messages of love and inclusivity to stand in opposition to hate and in protest of any and all that embolden divisiveness.
Atlanta’s arts community is inspired by Signs of Solidarity Philadelphia, a project that started with the idea of hanging a few banners from a few private homes, but quickly became a large city wide project. In partnership with Philadelphia, Signs of Solidarity ATL is an impassioned collaborative effort of over 30 ATL-area arts organizations, artists, writers, poets, and creatives with the permission and coordination of dozens of local building and business owners.
