Carla Contreras is an Ecuadorian-American multidisciplinary visual artist and educator based in Atlanta, Georgia with a master’s degree in Painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Contreras is interested in exploring the idea of home and existence through contemplative practices in nature. Her works become a biomorphic visual assemblage of sensorial information gathered from the natural sites that she explores.
Her designs intend to curate and elevate the customer experience through a visually engaging, fun, and vibrant mural. It derives inspiration from natural elements (water, river pebbles, minerals, and seaweed) conveying a narrative of sustainability through a dynamic and uplifting composition. A stylized version of the infinity symbol is used throughout the design to communicate the idea of water reuse and energy efficiency. The color scheme choice is based on the natural elements mentioned, the brand colors, and color psychology to convey the energy and mood that aligns with the brand's identity.
