Rooted in Legacy, Growing with Change

📍Kensington Pointe

What deeply resonates with me about this development is its layered sense of community and its reflection of generational growth — from youth to adults to elders. This is a space where lives intersect, where stories continue, and where belonging is cultivated.

Charity Hamidullah (b. 1989, Rochester, NY) is a multi‑disciplinary artist based in Atlanta, GA, whose work harnesses the power of daily life and environment to deepen purpose and foster connection.  She began in 2005 as a tattoo artist facilitating a bridge to honor her clients identity and expression. Now she adorns the canvases of walls to help uplift space. Drawing on her vibrant cultural background, she weaves bold abstraction, emotive color palettes, and resonant figurative imagery into visual narratives that chart growth, self‑discovery, and empowerment. Whether she’s in her studio or on the streets, Charity experiments with techniques, canvases, and unexpected urban surfaces—transforming walls, traffic boxes, book kiosks, and more into living, breathing stories.

“Rooted in Legacy, Growing with Change” is a mural that celebrates unity, legacy, and the collective spirit of community. Flowing across the wall, silhouetted figures move toward one another in gestures of embrace — larger than life and symbolic of the strength found in connection. Representing a diversity of ages, these figures reflect individuals on their own personal journeys, ultimately growing together as one. The vibrancy of the composition mirrors the vibrancy of the community itself. Pillars of light rise throughout the design, honoring the legendary presence, resilience, and legacy that live within this space. Rooted deeply in culture, the mural speaks to a place where people uplift one another — from beginning to end — creating an environment where generations can thrive. This work is intended to stand as both a visual landmark and a reflection of shared belonging: a community that grows together, lives together, and continues forward in years of lasting growth.
